Community Guidelines
Last updated: August 28, 2026
mySLife is a creative community. Be excellent to each other; tag content correctly; respect Second Life’s culture of consent and maturity.
1. Maturity labeling
- Mark posts and pages with the correct maturity (General / Moderate / Adult).
- Adult material must not be visible to General-only visitors — our filters help, but honest labeling is required.
- Deliberate mislabeling is serious misconduct. Tagging Moderate or Adult content as General to reach wider audiences, harass viewers, or harm the platform violates these Guidelines and may result in immediate removal and a permanent ban.
- Unlocking Adult on mySLife requires visiting our Adult kiosk in-world.
2. Bad-faith and abusive use
- Do not post content intended to harm residents, staff, or mySLife — including coordinated spam, bait-and-switch imagery, or maturity mislabeling campaigns.
- Accounts are tied to verified Second Life avatars. Abuse is traceable and may be referred to Linden Lab or appropriate authorities where applicable.
3. Not allowed
- Any sexual or exploitative content involving minors (real or depicted). Zero tolerance; report and ban.
- Illegal content, malware, phishing, or credential theft.
- Doxxing, stalking, or targeted harassment.
- Spam, scam storefronts, or deceptive Marketplace links.
- Impersonating mySLife staff, Linden Lab, or other residents.
4. Creative culture
- Credit creators when you can (outfit credits are encouraged and free on all plans).
- Don’t upload others’ work as your own.
- Critique creations, not people.
5. Reporting
Use in-product Flag / Report tools when available, or contact site staff in-world through the mySLife Official group. We may hide or remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules.
6. Enforcement
Actions may include content removal, temporary limits, or permanent ban. Serious illegal material may be reported to appropriate authorities.
